AI-generated imageHormonal status and daily cortisol profile as a measure of load
Hormones aren't single numbers but patterns over time. Cortisol measured once at 10 a.m. tells you about as much as judging traffic from a single photo of an intersection.
Program 25 describes how we build a hormonal profile that actually reflects load, and how we translate it into concrete lifestyle actions.
A daily profile instead of one measurement
Cortisol has a pronounced daily rhythm: a peak within the first hour of waking, then a gradual decline toward evening. A flat morning response or elevated evening cortisol are more telling signs of overload than the total daily value.
We therefore collect samples at four points in the day, always following the same program and under comparable sleep and caffeine conditions.
What else belongs in the baseline panel
Hormonal status without the context of metabolism and inflammation is incomplete. So we include markers that explain why the values move the way they do.
- Thyroid: TSH, free T4, free T3, antibodies if needed.
- Sex hormones: testosterone (total and free), SHBG, estradiol.
- Metabolism: fasting insulin, HbA1c, liver enzymes.
- Inflammation and micronutrients: hs-CRP, ferritin, vitamin D, B12.
Interpretation: the reference range isn't the target
Reference ranges describe a population, not an individual's optimum. A value at the low end may be entirely appropriate for one person and a marked decline for another, relative to their own baseline.
That's why we always compare a profile with the person's own previous measurement and reported symptoms, not just the lab range.
Actions and re-testing
First-line actions are always lifestyle-level: timing of workload, sleep, morning light, protein and micronutrient intake, and evening wind-down.
We re-test after eight to twelve weeks, following an identical program. Any medical treatment is managed by a physician in their own practice and under their own responsibility.
Relating the program to your baseline
The professional team can help select appropriate measurements, monitor change and assess the effect in the context of your data.

Results are individual and vary between people; they do not represent a promise of a specific outcome. HUMAX organizes and coordinates measurements and consultations carried out by independent licensed specialists, and does not perform healthcare activities.
This program is a general starting point. What makes sense for you is determined at an initial triage consultation (€150, 45 minutes) — resulting in a written proposal for your measurement scope, with no obligation.
